About Critters Companion
Our History
Critters Companion is an animal welfare organization formed in 2003. Our founders had been volunteers for other animal welfare groups in Salt Lake City, Utah but after moving to an area that have few animal welfare organizations, they found the need to organize their own group. Critters Companion held cat adoptions at PetCo but found the most sucess using online services such as petfinder.com. In addition, Critters Companion was also part of the trap, alter, release program for feral cats in Ogden. In 2007, we relocated to Wisconsin where we have continued our efforts to find homes for homeless pets and have been working on focusing our efforts to further reduce the homeless pet population in northeast Wisconsin.
Our Present
We currently adopt homeless cats. The cats are spayed/neutered, socialized, microchiped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.
Our first low cost vaccination clinic will be in October 2010 at the Pensaukee Town Hall, and we are currently developing a low cost spay/neuter program.
Our Future
Critters Companion is in the process of renovating a small hobby farm into a cat and dog adoption center, education center and clinic for low cost spays/neuters and vaccines.
Funding and dedicated volunteers are needed to make this happen!
